Medical Assistance Program

What began as a program aimed at providing African dentists and clinics with urgently needed dental supplies has now expanded significantly. Hospitals in West Africa are generally unable to provide any anaesthesia and even the most basic drugs and hygiene products are not available. Access to medical care in Guinea is very limited for most people and due to desperate poverty, things like gloves and needles are usually reused for different patients. This causes the spread of disease in hospitals and medical clinics in easily avoidable ways. The infant mortality rate in Guinea is among the very worst levels in the world. Three-hundred-and-fifty out of every 1,000 children do not live to the age of five!

In response to this ongoing crisis, AAI began delivering dental, medical and surgical supplies to health centres and hospitals across Guinea and Senegal. Since 2015, AAI has delivered over $130,000.00 worth of desperately needed anesthetic, surgical, and hygienic supplies. Clinics across the region struggle to give patients the care they need. Inadequate supplies and equipment can often mean the difference between life and death. The need for basic personal protective supplies like gloves and masks is urgent, but we need your help to continue.

Our deliveries will help replenish the hospitals’ stocks so that doctors can continue providing medical care to those people who need it.

Please help us by donating generously for our next shipment. The people we help have nowhere else to turn and AAI is the only organization providing this type of help in the places we operate!
